6. Contract: As defined under Indian Contract act,  An Agreement which is enforceable in nature is a Contract. Thus all essentials of agreement are to met for a agreement to be called as Contract.

7. Payment Aggregator: A payment aggregator is a third-party service that allows businesses to accept payments online from customers.

8. Meta tags: Meta tags are snippets of text that describe a web page's content and are found in the page's source code. They help search engines and visitors understand what a page is about.

9.  Gift cards: A gift card is a prepaid card issued by Urban Socks on the request of the customer, that can be used to make purchases on our website.

10. Draws and Rewards: Draws, also known as lucky draws, are promotional campaigns where  customers enter a contest for a chance to win a prize. The winner is selected randomly. Rewards are tangible or intangible benefits given to our customers for specific actions, typically tied to loyalty programs or promotions.

11. Warranty and Guarantee: Warranty is a stipulation in a contract of sale that is collateral to the main purpose of the contract. A guarantee is a contract to perform the promise or discharge the liability of a third person if they default. 

12. Intellectual Property: Intellectual property  is a term that describes intangible creations of the human mind.

13. Consumer: As defined u/s 2(7) of Consumer Protection Act,2019

14. Trademark: As defined u/s 2(1)(zb) of Trademark Act, 1999. 

15. Sale: Defined u/s 4(1) of Sales of Goods at as, A contract of sale of goods is a contract whereby the seller transfers or agrees to transfer the property in goods to the buyer for a price. There may be a contract of sale between one part-owner and another. 

16. Sale and Offers: A sale in the context of sales promotion refers to a temporary marketing strategy where goods or services are offered to customers at reduced prices or under special conditions to increase demand, clear inventory, or attract new customers. 1. Unified Payment Interface: Customers can make payments securely through UPI-enabled apps. Ensure your UPI ID is active and linked to a valid bank account.

2. Debit Cards: We accept all major debit cards issued by recognized banks. Transactions are secured with advanced encryption to protect your sensitive information.

3. Credit Card: We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and more. Please ensure a sufficient credit limit before proceeding with your order.

4. Cash On Delivery(COD): For your convenience, we offer the option to pay in cash upon delivery. This service is available in select locations and may have an additional handling fee. Kindly ensure you have the exact amount ready as delivery agents may not carry change.

All online transactions are secured using industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your data. We do not store sensitive card details on our platform. Payments are processed through secure third-party gateways. Orders will be processed only upon successful payment confirmation for UPI, debit card, and credit card transactions.

Urban Sockshas entered into an arrangement with Simpl Pay as its authorized payment aggregator to facilitate seamless and secure transactions on its website. All payments made through Simpl Pay are subject to their terms and conditions, and Urban Socks does not assume liability for any disputes arising from the payment processing services. By proceeding with a transaction, users agree to abide by the applicable policies and terms of Simpl Pay.

Sale, offers, and Pricing terms.

Urban Socks, periodically conducts sales and promotional offers. The prices displayed during these periods are applicable only for the duration of the sale or offer. Once the sale or offer period ends, standard pricing will resume, and discounted prices will no longer be valid. Products purchased during a sale or promotional offer are not eligible for return. However, exchanges may be permitted subject to the terms mentioned under return and exchange policy. If the exchange request is made after the sale or offer period has ended, the prices applicable to the replacement product will be based on standard pricing and may vary from the discounted price at the time of purchase. The customer will be responsible for any additional cost differences. 

Product Pricing

The prices of products displayed on the website are determined solely by Urban Socks. Pricing is subject to change without prior notice, and the updated price will be reflected on the website. The final amount payable, inclusive of applicable taxes, shipping charges, or any discounts, will be clearly displayed at the checkout page before the order is confirmed and placed by the customer. We strive to ensure all prices displayed on our platform are accurate. In case of any discrepancies, the price shown at the time of order placement will be considered final.

Eligibility to Enter into a Contract of Sale.

By placing an order on Urban Sockswebsite, the customer acknowledges and affirms that they possess the legal capacity to enter into a valid and binding contract as prescribed under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. This includes, but is not limited to, being of the age of majority as defined under the provisions of the Indian Contract Act, 1872; being 18 years or older, being of sound mind. It is further deemed that by initiating a transaction on this platform, the customer represents and warrants that they fulfill the aforementioned criteria. In the event it is discovered that the customer has misrepresented their eligibility or lacks the legal capacity to contract, Urban Socks reserves the absolute right to cancel the order, revoke any associated rights, and pursue legal remedies available under applicable laws. The guardians and/or Legal representatives of minors or unsound persons will be liable for the contracts they enter with Urban Socks. 

Product Warranty and Guarantee.

Urban Socks ensures that all products offered for sale meet the standard of merchantability as defined under applicable laws. This means that the products are of acceptable quality, free from defects that would render them unfit for their ordinary purpose, and conform to the description provided on the platform. We guarantee that the products are fit for the purpose for which such goods are commonly used, or for any specific purpose expressly communicated and agreed upon at the time of purchase. The assurance of merchantability and fitness does not extend to any defects or issues arising due to improper handling, misuse, or alterations made by the customer after delivery. In the unlikely event that a product fails to meet these standards, customers may reach out to our support team within the specified period to request a replacement, repair, or refund, subject to the terms of our return, exchange and refund policy

While Urban Socks strives to provide accurate descriptions and high-quality images of products, there may be minor variations in color, appearance, or design due to differences in screen displays, lighting conditions, or other technical factors. Such differences between the product images displayed on the website and the actual product received shall not be considered a defect or misrepresentation, unless they pertain to the material, dimensions, functionality, or specifications of the product as described in its listing. In the event of a discrepancy that materially affects the product’s intended use, customers may contact our support team for assistance within the exchange or return period as specified for the product. Claims regarding visual differences not affecting the functionality or core features of the product may not qualify for returns or exchanges.

Gift Cards.

1. Redemption and Validity:
   The Urban Socks Gift Card is exclusively redeemable on the Urban Socks marketplace platform and is valid for a period of one year from the date of issuance.

2. Restrictions on Use:
   Gift Cards cannot be utilized to purchase other gift cards or for any cash transactions. They may not be reloaded once issued. Multiple Gift Cards can be combined for a single order.

3. Order and Payment Procedures:
   When redeeming a Gift Card, any balance due after applying the Gift Card value must be settled using a Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, or Cash on Delivery. If the total order value is less than the Gift Card amount, the remaining balance will be available for future transactions.

4. Refund Policy:
   In the event of order cancellation, the amount will be credited back to the original Gift Card. It is important to note that refunds will not be made to any cashback accounts.

5. Tax and Additional Charges:
   Additional taxes, may apply to certain products; however, the final price will not exceed the marked retail price. All applicable taxes, duties, and other statutory charges related to the use of the Gift Card are the sole responsibility of the customer.

6. User Responsibility and Security:
   Customers are responsible for safeguarding their Gift Card details. Urban Socks will not be liable for any losses incurred due to unauthorized use, theft, or loss of the Gift Card PIN or number. Users must protect their confidential information; any misuse due to negligence will not be subject to refund.

7. Limitations of Liability:
   Urban Socks disclaims any liability for products purchased with the Gift Card, and product warranties will be governed by the terms outlined on the individual warranty cards.

8. Fraud Prevention:
   Urban Socks reserves the right to cancel any Gift Card purchased through fraudulent means or if the Know Your Customer (KYC) information provided is found to be inaccurate or incomplete. In such cases, funds will be returned to the original source of payment.

9. Regulatory Compliance:
   Users acknowledge that Gift Cards are considered prepaid payment instruments regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). As such, Urban Socks may be required to share KYC details and transaction information with RBI or other relevant authorities.

10. Changes to Terms:
    Urban Socks retains the right to modify the terms and conditions governing the Gift Card, including the potential for extension, withdrawal, or discontinuation of the program, without prior notice.

11. Exclusions:
    The Gift Card is not valid for purchases from certain sellers or categories as specified by Urban Socks.

1. Registration Requirement:
   To redeem a Gift Card, users must first load the Gift Card value into their Urban Socks Wallet or User Account. This process constitutes the registration of the use. The gift card once registered is not transferable to any other person.

Draws and Rewards

In the event that Urban Socksconducts promotional draws and rewards programs, the names of the winners shall be publicly displayed on the Urban Socks website or social media accounts. Participation in such draws and rewards is contingent upon meeting specific eligibility criteria, which shall be clearly defined in the promotional materials associated with each respective program. It is the sole responsibility of participants to ensure compliance with all eligibility requirements prior to entering the draw or reward. Winners are required to adhere to the prescribed process for claiming their rewards; failure to do so, or non-compliance with eligibility criteria, may result in the forfeiture of the reward. By entering into these promotional activities, participants acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.

Right to Amending the Policy.

Urban Socks reserves the right to amend, modify, or revise any clause of this policy or any other policy drafted herein at its sole discretion and as deemed necessary. Any such amendments shall become effective immediately upon being posted on the Urban Sockswebsite or otherwise communicated to users. Continued use of the services provided by Urban Socksfollowing any amendments constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Grievance/ Customer Support.

Customers are required to initially contact the "Customer Support" team to resolve any issues they may face. If a satisfactory resolution is not provided by Customer Support, customers may then escalate their concerns to the Grievance Cell.

Please note that any direct communications sent to the Grievance Cell will be redirected to Customer Support for further handling.
